Business users can receive a grant under the government’s Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS). This provides up to 75% of the upfront purchase and installation costs of EV charging points. The government aid is limited to £350 per socket and a maximum of 40 charging points across all sites for each applicant.
Before installation, business owners can apply through the government’s online application portal (https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/workplace-charging-scheme-application-form) (link to portal). If the application is successful, applicants receive a unique identification voucher, for the government grant, which can be claimed through EVcharges, who are a licensed WCS installer.
Domestic users can receive a grant under the government’s Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme. This provides up to £350 of the upfront purchase and installation costs of an off-street EV charging point at your home. The grant is available for charging units approved by the Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV). We can do all of the paperwork, so contact us for more details on how to apply for this grant.
